13/11/2008 - Ho provveduto all'aggiornamento del firmware della mia Morphy Richards 27024 . L'operazione è molto semplice e viene ampiamente (e ben descritta) anche alla pagina www.elio.org/iw2bsf/morphy.html dedicata alla 27024 e nel file read_me_first.txt  del  pacchetto di upgrade.

Come per tutti gli aggiornamenti occorre prestare particolare attenzione alle sequenze  da eseguire ed al fatto di non staccare alimentazione durante l'operazione di aggiornamento.

Per l'aggiornamento è necessaria, inoltre, una memory card  SD con, ovviamente, il  relativo drive (io ho usato una "vecchia " MEDIACOM SECURE DIGITAL da 512 MB.

Quick installation instructions:

To update via memory card:
1. Place both "PR_MR006_Morphy_27024_1.12.0.0.55x" and "PR_MR006_Morphy_27024_1.12.0.0.bin" on an appropriate memory card.
2. Insert memory card into receiver.
3*. Navigate through the menu to Settings -> Advanced -> Firmware update
5. Select "Start Installer", and press "Select" to perform the upgrade
6. The software will be updated automatically, when finished the user will be prompted to remove the memory card and the radio will reboot into the new software.

* If the advanced menu is not present it means that the version of the Morphy software you are running is older than 1.10.0.147, in this case you will have to leave the card in during a power-cycle of the radio, the radio will then detect the new software on startup and re-flash.
